Meet Mrs Parada
I have been teaching in the Dublin Unified School District for twelve years. I spent 5 years teaching various grades, but mostly kindergarten. Then I took on the challenge of creating and developing the Developmental Kindergarten Academy (DKA) curriculum (Also known as Transitional Kindergarten (TK). After 4 years in DKA I moved to kindergarten. Now, I am teaching 2nd grade! I love the new challenges and benefits of second grade. I am looking forward to another great year at Cottonwood.
My family is my life. I have a wonderful husband, a daughter, a son, two dogs and two cats. My husband is in tech. My daughter is a Registered Nurse. My son is a junior at LMU. He is majoring in Film and TV. I am so proud both of my children! My dogs are crazy and my cats are aloof Together we are the imperfectly perfect family. I wouldn't change a thing!
My Philosophy
My philosophy is summed up in a quote by Ann Landers.
“It is not what you do for your children,
but what you have taught them to do for themselves
that will make them successful human beings.”
I truly believe this and will do everything I can to help your child become self-sufficient. It's amazing what children can do, given the chance.
